Stewardship
Definition of stewardship
We follow responsible and ethical business practices and act as stewards in our areas of responsibility, including our resources and collections. We value accountability, follow-up, and striving to reach our stated goals.
Questions to discuss as a team
- Walk around the outside of your venue and spend 10 minutes gathering trash.
- Identify and discuss your teams top three goals this year.
Living the value/Pin Goal Idea tips
- Read this month’s article and think about how you can improve on your follow-up.
- Ask your direct supervisor how they define stewardship.
- Make a goal to be more honest and transparent this week. Journal about how that adjusted your mindset and actions.
“Taking accountability for your mistakes and being able to talk about them without shame or guilt is power” –Surya Susan Bijoy
MOnthly Article highlight: The all purpose power of follow up and follow through
“In the ocean of good advice about creativity, personal growth, professional development and leadership, what sometimes gets lost is the basic formula for a productive and effective professional and personal life…. In my experience, the core ingredient for moving forward is simply this: follow up and follow through.”
Equity
IDEA stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility. Equity refers to fairness and justice and is different from equality. The difference is not only important but is a big part of what we do here at Thanksgiving Point. We work daily to help our guests and employees feel they have all the resources to be successful and feel joy in their life.
